Housing affordability is now a big political issue and the grim outlook is that the great Australian dream is now pretty well beyond the reach of all but the upper middle classes and the rich, and the situation is not likely to improve any time soon. Leon and I talk it over with Bernard Salt, distinguished demographer with KPMG.
